Bobby Heard, MBA, CAE has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within nonprofit organizations. Bobby began their career at Texans' War on Drugs, where they served as a Program Director, overseeing all programs and operations. Bobby then joined Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) as the National Director of Development, National Director of Programs, and Acting CEO. During their tenure at MADD, they managed daily operations, launched national events, pioneered fundraising strategies, and conducted consumer/donor research.
In 2005, Heard joined the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) as an Associate Executive Director, responsible for a 75-person division and various departments. Bobby led initiatives in marketing, communications, and membership growth, resulting in the largest growth in membership in over a decade. In 2019, they were promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer, where they managed a significant budget and staff, including overseeing key executives and implementing strategic plans.
Additionally, Heard served as the Executive Director of the Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF), where they developed a strategic fundraising plan and increased the organization's assets.

Bobby Heard, MBA, CAE obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business, with a focus on Business Administration, from 2006 to 2008. In addition, they hold the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership, which they obtained in June 2006, and another CAE certification from the American Society of Association Executives, which they obtained in January 2005.
