Tommy Wells serves as Counsel at Maynard Nexsen PC since April 2023. With extensive experience in environmental law, Wells has been a Fellow at the American College of Environmental Lawyers since 2012 and an Elected Member of The American Law Institute since 2003, where recognition as a leading expert in law was achieved. A member of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. since February 1984, Wells is also a founding shareholder and part of the Environmental, Toxic Tort and Product Liability Practice Group. Active in the Alabama State Bar since 1975, Wells co-chaired the Task Force on the Future of the Legal Profession in Alabama from 2012 to 2014 and held leadership roles in various American Bar Association sections. Additionally, Wells served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Scholarships for Kids from 2015 to 2018. Educational credentials include a J.D. from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science and Government from the same institution, alongside an honorary Doctor of Laws from Suffolk University Law School.
