Zeeshan Husain

Vice President- Great Lakes Region at American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons

Zeeshan Husain has an extensive work experience in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery. Zeeshan is currently serving as the President of the Michigan Podiatric Medical Association since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Section Editor at The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery starting from January 2020.

Zeeshan has also had a long association with the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, where they worked as the Vice President for the Great Lakes Region from February 2019. Zeeshan joined the organization as a Fellow in August 2010.

In terms of clinical practice, Zeeshan has worked as a Podiatric Surgeon at McLaren Oakland since July 2018. Before that, they held the same position at Great Lakes Foot & Ankle Institute from January 2017.

Zeeshan's academic involvement includes serving as Clinical Faculty at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine since August 2018. Zeeshan has also served as Chairman of the Michigan Podiatric Residency Consortium, starting from November 2008.

Earlier in their career, Zeeshan worked as a Podiatric Surgeon at William Beaumont Health System from September 2006 and at Detroit Medical Center from July 2003.

Lastly, Zeeshan is a Fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons, starting from July 2000. Throughout their career, they have been involved in promoting podiatric foot and ankle care in the community through medical and surgical care in all age groups, as well as advancing the profession through training and education.

Zeeshan Husain completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, during the period of 1990 to 1994. Later, from 1996 to 2000, they attended the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and obtained a DPM degree in Podiatric Medicine/Podiatry. Additionally, Zeeshan Husain has pursued further certifications in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot and Reconstructive Ankle Surgery from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
