Melanie J. Wells, MPH, CAE has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. From 2016, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG), where they provided strategic leadership and managed daily operations. Prior to this, they were the Chief Operating Officer at ACMG from 2020 to 2023, responsible for executing organizational strategy and overseeing human resources functions. Before joining ACMG, Melanie was the Chief Operating Officer at the Society for Public Health Education, where they led strategic health promotion initiatives and implemented operational policies and procedures. Melanie J. also worked as a Healthcare Analyst at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they managed quality improvement programs and conducted data analysis.
