Michelle Suarez Cmp, Des

Michelle Suarez, CMP, DES has extensive work experience in event management and education. Michelle currently serves as the Director of Education & Experience at the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, where they strengthen communities and workplaces through the improvement of worker health, safety, equity, and well-being. Prior to this, Michelle worked at MCI USA as the Director of Association Events, where they successfully managed and executed meetings for various association client organizations. Michelle also previously worked at Sentergroup, Inc. as an Account Manager, planning and implementing client events. Michelle began their career as an Office Assistant for the Vice President of Student Affairs at Ferris State University and gained early experience as an Operations Coordinator intern at CSI - Capitol Services Inc. Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles, ensuring the successful execution of events while considering both the small details and the big picture.

Michelle Suarez, CMP, DES attended Ferris State University from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Resort Management, Special Events, and Meeting Planning. In August 2013, they became a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) through the Events Industry Council. In May 2018, they completed the Digital Event Strategist (DES) certification program offered by the Digital Experience Institute. Additionally, in September 2020, Michelle obtained a certification in Cvent Event Management from Cvent.
