Janet Ward

Janet Ward is a distinguished academic leader with extensive experience in higher education and scholarly initiatives. Currently serving as a participant in the Leadership Institute for a New Academy (LINA) at the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), Janet has held multiple roles at the University of Oklahoma since 2011, including Faculty Fellow for Strategic Initiatives, Brammer Presidential Professor of History, Senior Associate Vice President for Research & Partnerships, and Founding Faculty Director of the OU Arts & Humanities Forum. Additionally, Janet was an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow at Yale University from July 2022 to June 2023 and previously served as President of the German Studies Association from January 2021 to December 2022.
