Samanthi Visaka de Costa

Samanthi Visaka De Costa currently serves as a Senior Specialist in Accounting, Grants and Contracts at the American Council on Education since May 2023, providing financial and budget support for federal and non-federal programs, managing grants and contracts, and advising on relevant regulations. Prior to this role, Samanthi worked at the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka for over 14 years, initially as a Program Assistant, overseeing more than 1,000 Federal grant programs and mentoring Grants Officer Representatives, and later served as a Cultural Affairs Assistant and Project Assistant at USAID. Samanthi holds a Master of Business Administration from London Metropolitan University and has completed courses on not-for-profit financial statements and compliance through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
