Lawton Hatley

Lawton Hatley currently serves as Vice President and Associate General Counsel at SCOR since June 2021, bringing extensive legal and contract management experience. Previously, Lawton held the position of Vice President of Reinsurance Contracts at Wells Fargo from August 2013 to June 2021, where responsibilities included leading complex negotiations and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Additionally, Lawton has been a Volunteer Advocate with the American Diabetes Association since October 2005, providing legal support for discrimination cases in North Carolina. Earlier roles include supervisory and contract drafting positions at SCOR and legal consulting work, along with an internship at Legal Aid of North Carolina focused on community education and legal research. Lawton earned a Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University, School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
