Manish Thakur, MS, PE, currently serves as the Director of Protection and Control Engineering and Director of Station Engineering at American Electric Power since June 2019. Manish's earlier experience includes serving as a Lead Consultant for Protective Relaying Application at GE Multilin from 2001 to 2005 and working as a Relay Testing and Commissioning Engineer at Asea Brown Boveri (Pvt.) Ltd. from 1996 to 1999. Manish holds a Master's degree in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Manitoba, obtained between 1999 and 2001, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Power from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, completed from 1992 to 1996.
