Tim Beardsley

Executive Editor at Endocrine Society

Tim Beardsley is an experienced editorial professional with a strong background in scientific publishing. Currently serving as Executive Editor at The Endocrine Society since March 2016, Tim helped launch the open-access Journal of the Endocrine Society and worked to unify policies across various publications. Prior to this role, Tim was Editorial Director and Editor in Chief at the American Institute of Biological Sciences, overseeing peer review for the journal BioScience. Tim has also held senior writing positions at Human Genome Sciences, where responsibilities included drafting and editing key documents for research and product development. Earlier experience includes roles at Scientific American as a Correspondent and Associate Editor, and as a Washington Correspondent for Nature, focusing on science and policy developments. Tim holds an MA and DPhil in Zoology, with a specialization in Animal Behaviour, from the University of Oxford.
