A C Verma

A C Verma has extensive work experience in the field of energy management and sustainability. A C started their career in 1982 with the Indian Defence Service of Engineers, where they held several key positions including Joint Director General (Utilities & Energy Management) and Principal Director (Utilities). During their time there, they successfully managed various energy management programs and led multiple utilities planning and design groups. A C also served as the Commander of a factories organization. In 2015, they joined ZERO CARBON.digital as the Executive Director, where they spearheaded a strategic initiative focused on sustainable digital solutions. In the same year, they also took on a role as a Visiting Faculty for Healthcare Architecture at Jamia Millia Islamia, Central University. Most recently, in 2020, they became the Vice President of the Association of Energy Engineers.

A C Verma pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Mechanical Engineering from BIT Sindri, completing their studies from 1972 to 1976. A C then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, during the academic year 1980-1981.

In 1980-1981, A C Verma also participated in a Research Programme in Energy Engineering at McGill University.

Following this, in 1999-2000, they pursued a Master's degree in Strategic Studies from the Defence Services Staff College.

In addition to their formal education, A C Verma has obtained several certifications related to their field. These certifications include the APO Certification in Energy Management System ISO-50001 from the Asian Productivity Organisation, APO Certification in Green Productivity from the Asian Productivity Organization, Certificate on Advanced Energy Audit Techniques from the FEDERATION OF INDIAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY, Certificate on Computerized Project Management Techniques from the Construction Industry Development Council, Distinguished Fellow in Hospital Engineering from the Institute of Hospital Engineers (India), ENERGY AUDITOR AND MANAGER from the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, and GRIHA Certified Professional from the GRIHA Council.
