Charles Rahr

Charles Rahr is a research assistant at the American Enterprise Institute, specializing in foreign and defense policy as well as defense budget and national defense planning since August 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a legislative correspondent and staff assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives from May 2021 to August 2022, an Asia Program intern at the Foreign Policy Research Institute from February to April 2021, and a public opinion intern at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs from June to December 2020. Charles also gained internship experience at the U.S. House of Representatives in the summer of 2019. Charles Rahr holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Studies from the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies and participated in a study abroad program focused on Chinese language at Peking University in 2019.
