Jacqueline Derks has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and roles. Jacqueline most recently worked at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where they started in January 2016 as a Conference Assistant and steadily progressed to Events Associate, Senior Events Associate, and eventually Program Manager for the Critical Threats Project. In September 2022, they became the Assistant Director for the same project.
In addition to their time at AEI, Jacqueline has held positions as an Intern in Foreign and Defense Policy at AEI in 2015, a Writer at Bustle in early 2015, a Development Intern at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research from September to December 2014, a Summer Fellow at the Acton Institute in 2014, and another Development Internship at the Manhattan Institute for Policy Research from September 2013 to May 2014.
Furthermore, Jacqueline gained valuable experience as an Intern in the Office of Congressman Bill Huizenga in 2013, and as a Tutor for America Reads and Counts in 2012.
Jacqueline Derks completed their high school education with a summa cum laude degree at Whitehall High School between 2008 and 2012. Following their high school graduation, they attended New York University from 2012 to 2015 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Jacqueline focused their studies on Politics and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies during their time at the university.
