Nicholas Carl

Nicholas Carl is an experienced research manager and analyst currently at the American Enterprise Institute since September 2017, where roles have included Middle East Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst and Iran Team Lead. In addition, Nicholas serves as a research contractor for the Institute for the Study of War since September 2022. Previous experience includes a legislative internship with the U.S. House of Representatives supporting Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, contributing to foreign affairs reports and legislative research. Nicholas also interned at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, focusing on operational support and event management. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from St. John Fisher University and an A2.2 Certificate in German Language from the University of Vienna.
