Shannon Turner

Shannon Turner is an experienced professional in government relations and development, currently serving as a Foundation Relations Officer and Senior Development Writer at the American Enterprise Institute since February 2024. Previously, Shannon held various roles at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from February 2019 to February 2024, including Director of Corporate Development and Senior Manager of Corporate Research. Shannon's legislative expertise was honed as a Legislative Assistant and Legislative Correspondent for the House of Representatives from January 2017 to December 2018, focusing on agriculture, homeland security, and other key portfolios. Early career experiences include positions at the Heritage Foundation, Congressman Leonard Lance's office, and engagement in campaign work. Shannon earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Government with a concentration in American Politics and Policy from Patrick Henry College in 2016.
