David Foote has extensive work experience in various roles. Starting from 2008, they worked at Wayne State University in different positions. David began as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Library and Information Science from January 2011 to May 2013. Simultaneously, they also served as the E-Learning Support Coordinator from August 2008 to December 2013. Following this, they worked as a Project Manager for the ITSM Platform from December 2013 to April 2016. From April 2016 to May 2021, they held the position of Associate Director of the ITSM Platform. During this period, David served as an Adjunct Professor at the Mike Ilitch School of Business from August 2019 to April 2021. Additionally, they served as the Director of Endpoint and Application Engineering from May 2021 to June 2022. David'smost recent role is as an ESM Administrator III at American Equity, starting in June 2022.
David Foote obtained their MLIS degree in Library and Information Science from Wayne State University, which they attended from 2006 to 2008. Before that, they completed their BA in History at Michigan State University, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
In addition to their formal education, David Foote has obtained several certifications. In September 2019, they became a Cherwell Certified Professional Administrator and a Cherwell Certified Professional Designer. In December 2016, they obtained the ITIL Practitioner certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Furthermore, they acquired the EDUCAUSE Institute Management Program certification from EDUCAUSE in July 2015, and the ITIL Foundation certification from EXIN your ICT competence partner in June 2013.
Recently, David Foote has obtained two certifications from Atlassian. In August 2022, they became an Atlassian Certified Jira Service Project Manager (ACP-MJSPC), and in November 2022, they obtained the Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator for Cloud (ACP-JCA).
