Marissa Pitterle

Marissa Pitterle, CFA has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and roles. Marissa is currently an Investment Strategist at American Equity, starting in October 2022.

Prior to their current role, Marissa worked at Travelers for a significant portion of their career. Marissa held various positions within the company, including Senior Analyst and Analyst in Structured Finance & Quantitative Fixed Income. Marissa also served as a Senior Associate Analyst in both Quantitative Fixed Income & Structured Finance and Quantitative Fixed Income Investments. Marissa began their journey at Travelers as an Associate Analyst in Quantitative Fixed Income Investments. Marissa'stenure at Travelers lasted from April 2009 to October 2022.

In 2005, Marissa had an internship experience at Froedtert Hospital, where they served as a Student Intern from June 2005 to January 2009.

Additionally, Marissa gained research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the National Solar Observatory in June to August 2008.

Marissa's early career also involved working as a Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame. Marissa'sresponsibilities included performing astrophysical data reduction and analysis for Professor J. Chris Howk. Marissa was in this role from January 2005 to January 2008.

Marissa Pitterle, CFA, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Analytic Finance from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Marissa attended this program from 2012 to 2014. Prior to their MBA, they obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Notre Dame, where they majored in Physics with a concentration in Computer Science. Marissa also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification, which they obtained in August 2013 from the CFA Institute.
