Peter Luthy

Peter Luthy is a mathematician and data scientist who earned a PhD in harmonic analysis from Cornell University, where they also obtained an M.A. in Mathematics. Peter's academic career spanned nearly a decade, including roles such as Teaching Assistant at Cornell, William Chauvenet Postdoctoral Lecturer at Washington University in St. Louis, and Associate Professor of Mathematics at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. During the COVID pandemic, Peter transitioned to the private sector, taking on various leadership roles in data science, currently serving as the Director of Data Science at American Express. Their passion lies in solving quantitative problems with real impact and fostering teamwork within the data science community.
