Jeff Gruel

Jeff Gruel is a seasoned insurance professional with extensive experience in product management and actuarial analysis. Currently serving as a Senior State Product Manager at American Family Insurance since July 2008, Jeff has successfully managed operations across 50 states for a small Direct Auto carrier and led the rollout of a new telematics program. Previous roles at American Family include positions as a Personal Lines Product Management Senior Analyst and a Commercial Lines Product Management Senior Analyst, where responsibilities included optimizing non-standard auto business and achieving Profit & Loss goals for Workers' Compensation. Earlier experience at Dean Health Plan, Inc. involved health insurance pricing, while earlier tenure at ACUITY focused on actuarial analysis for Personal Auto and Home products across eight Midwest states. Jeff holds both a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with Application toward Actuarial Science and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
