Kirsten Ferguson serves as the Director of Publications at American Farmland Trust, overseeing writing, editing, and strategic publication efforts for the nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting U.S. farmland since October 2014. Additionally, Kirsten is a Music Columnist for The Daily Gazette, highlighting various artists and performances, and has received recognition as Music Journalist of the Year by the Capital Region Thomas Edison Music Awards. As a professional writer and editor since September 1993, Kirsten operates a freelance business while contributing to Ocean Conservancy’s Splash newsletter and Land Trust Alliance’s Saving Land magazine. Kirsten co-founded JetPack Promotions, a music and arts PR firm known for its impactful promotion, and holds degrees in English from Vassar College and the University at Albany, along with specialized training from Skidmore College and the University of Copenhagen.
