Dean McCleary has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Dean started their career as an Examiner at Bremer Financial Services, where they conducted operational bank examinations and specialized in Ag Credit Company audits. Dean then moved on to Bremer Bank, where they served as a Senior Vice President, responsible for all operations and finance responsibilities in a $200M financial institution. During their time at the University of Minnesota, Crookston Campus, Dean held the position of Vice Chancellor for Finance, managing the financial aspects of the campus and supervising various departments. Currently, Dean is working at American Federal Bank, where they hold the roles of CEO and Board Director, overseeing the financial management of a $650M financial institution and providing financial advice and business expertise to customers.
Dean McCleary attended Fisher High School from 1972 to 1976. Following their high school education, they enrolled at Minnesota State University Moorhead from 1976 to 1980 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance. In 1986, Dean attended the Minnesota School of Banking for a year, although there is no information regarding any degree or field of study attained during this period.
