Charlie Ruger

Charlie Ruger currently serves as the Chief Development Officer at the American Federation for Children since May 2025. Prior to this role, Charlie was involved with Stand Together from July 2021 to May 2025, where responsibilities included serving as Senior Vice President and Vice President of Development Strategy. Charlie's extensive experience in philanthropy spans over a decade at the Charles Koch Foundation, holding various positions including Vice President of Philanthropy and Director of University Investments. Earlier in the career, Charlie worked at Compuware Corporation as a Corporate Security Supervisor. Charlie holds a BBA in Management from Northwood University and is pursuing an MA in Economics at the University of Detroit Mercy, along with completing the Koch Associate Program from 2009 to 2010.
