Gaby Ascencio

Gaby Ascencio has extensive experience in community outreach and education, currently serving as the Community Outreach Manager for Arizona at the American Federation for Children since January 2015. In this role, Gaby played a key role in the implementation of the Empowerment Scholarship Accounts program, which has successfully served over 51,000 families. Additional experience includes serving as WeGrad Field Program Manager at Arizona State University, where Gaby facilitated programs aimed at increasing parental involvement in education. Previous roles include Teacher Manager at Le Tutor Language School, where Gaby managed a diverse team of educators, and Bilingual Family Justice Specialist at the National Advocacy & Training Network, providing support to Hispanic clients facing various challenges. Gaby began teaching English as a Second Language at Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey, contributing to curriculum development for advanced studies. Gaby holds degrees from The University of Texas at El Paso and Sorbonne Université.
