Ambessa Cantave

Ambessa Cantave is an experienced program manager and community outreach specialist with a focus on workforce development and environmental sustainability. Currently serving as the TCC Program Manager at GRID Alternatives since October 2019, Ambessa developed a training program that provided 200 hours of instruction to 150 trainees, substantially increasing the team's proficiency in solar construction. Previous roles include Public Engagement Program Manager at the Oakland Museum of California, where Ambessa managed community collaborations, and Program Manager at Bay Area Green Tours, focusing on environmental education. Ambessa is also the founder of Destined Nation Media, offering marketing strategies to various organizations. With a background in managing youth programs and leading climate justice initiatives, Ambessa holds a BA in Psychology/Marketing from York College of the City University of New York and an Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education from City College of San Francisco.
