Shawn Adams

Shawn Adams has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Shawn started their career as an Actuarial Analyst at Unitrin INC in 1997, where they worked until 2000. From 2000 to 2021, Shawn held various roles at American Fidelity, including Actuarial Student, Actuarial Analyst, Actuarial Analyst III, Actuarial Analyst IV, Supervisor, Assistant Vice President, Reinsurance, Vice President, Reinsurance, and currently Vice President and Human Resources Director. In their roles at American Fidelity, Shawn was responsible for tasks such as financial reporting, reserve calculations, reinsurance program management, developing business relationships with partners and brokers, and participating in LEAN initiatives for workflow optimization.

Shawn Adams received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Oklahoma Baptist University in the years 1992-1996. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries from the Society of Actuaries and as a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries from the American Academy of Actuaries.
