Bobby Ruiz

Bobby Ruiz is an experienced fire services professional and educator with a diverse background in leadership and project management. Currently serving as a Project Manager at American Fire Technologies since May 2022, Bobby Ruiz consults with utility companies on lithium battery energy storage systems. Prior to this role, Bobby Ruiz was the Fire Chief for the City of Peoria from July 2012 to July 2022, overseeing a fire department of 240 members and managing a $40 million operational budget. Additionally, Bobby Ruiz served as an Associate Professor at Arizona State University from January 1997 to 2020 and held the position of Assistant Chief at the Phoenix Fire Department for over 37 years, where responsibilities included managing various divisions and leading a FEMA Taskforce. Bobby Ruiz holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.
