Alec Bogdanoff

Alec Bogdanoff, Ph.D., is the Principal and Co-Founder of Brizaga, an engineering consulting firm established in May 2017, which focuses on enhancing resilience against rising sea levels. Since July 2018, Alec serves as both the Science Advisor and Senior Scientist for the American Flood Coalition, a nonpartisan organization aimed at advancing solutions for flood-affected communities. Alec also held the position of Florida Director for the same coalition. Prior experience includes serving as Science Director for a geospatial technology startup, a John A. Knauss Sea Grant Fellow in the United States Senate, and various research and teaching roles at renowned institutions such as Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Alec holds a Ph.D. in Physical Oceanography from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and advanced degrees in Meteorology from Florida State University.
