Caryn Smith has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Caryn is currently the Publisher and Chief Content Officer for @International Filtration News and @International Fiber Journal at INDA Media. Previously, they served as the Art Director for Foreign Service Journal at the American Foreign Service Association. Caryn also held the position of Art Director/Editor for Pallet Central Magazine at the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association. Caryn is the Founder and CEO/CCO of Driven By Design LLC, a communications agency specializing in print and online publishing, marketing, and brand development. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant and Leader Development professional at Rodan + Fields skincare company and served as Editor/Creative Director/Advertising Sales for Automotive Recycling Magazine and Auto Recyclers Toolbox Magazine at the Automotive Recyclers Association. Caryn was also a Volunteer Co-Founder and former Vice President of Valerie's House, Inc. Furthermore, they were the CEO/Owner and Marketing Director for two Foster's Grille franchises. Before that, Caryn worked as an Associate Publisher at CommTek Communications. Overall, their extensive experience showcases expertise in publishing, marketing, communications, and leadership.

Caryn Smith's education history includes attending Savannah College of Art and Design from 2003 to 2005. During this time, they earned 18 credits towards a Masters of Fine Arts degree, although the degree itself was not completed. Prior to that, they attended Virginia Commonwealth University from 1983 to 1985. At Virginia Commonwealth University, they successfully obtained a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design.
