Nathan Truitt is an accomplished leader in philanthropic development with extensive experience in climate funding and strategic partnerships. Currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Climate Funding and Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at the American Forest Foundation since March 2013, Nathan collaborates with board members to enhance the organization’s value proposition and identify funding opportunities. Prior roles include Director of Development at the Izaak Walton League of America, where Nathan managed fundraising and membership efforts, and Senior Manager of Philanthropic Development at American Councils for International Education, where Nathan established a philanthropic program and wrote significant grant proposals. Nathan's earlier experiences include directorial roles overseeing international programs and volunteer work with the Peace Corps in Turkmenistan. Nathan holds an M.A. in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and a B.A. in English Literature and Classical Studies from Pomona College.
