Joshua Simon

Joshua Simon currently serves as the Senior Manager of Community Engagement at American Forests, a position held since October 2022. Prior to this role, Joshua was the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator for Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks from August 2020 to October 2022. Joshua's earlier experiences include various roles at Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, where responsibilities included serving as a Graduate Research Associate, Graduate Teaching Associate, and Graduate Fellow at the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity. Joshua also gained teaching experience as a First Grade Teacher with the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board, as well as internships with the National Science Foundation and USDA. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Forestry and Natural Resources from Southern University and A&M College and a Master of Science in Environmental Natural Resources with a specialization in Environmental Social Science from The Ohio State University.
