Sarah Schmid

Sarah Schmid is an experienced professional in corporate giving and development, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Corporate Giving at American Forests since October 2018. Previously, Sarah held various roles, including Corporate Giving Manager at American Forests and Development Coordinator at the National Building Museum from January 2017 to October 2018. Sarah’s early experience includes working as a Student Ambassador at West Virginia University from January 2015 to December 2016, where outreach and team collaboration were key responsibilities. Additionally, Sarah completed a Development Internship at Strathmore Hall Foundation, Inc. in mid-2016, focusing on donor engagement. Sarah began a career in leadership and mentorship as a Camp Counselor at YMCA Camp Ernst from 2010 to 2012. Sarah holds two Bachelor’s Degrees from West Virginia University, one in Design Studies and the other in World Languages and Literatures, completed in 2016.
