Alexis Lucero, MPH, CHES, currently serves as the Director of Program Operations at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, where responsibilities include managing the Talk Saves Lives prevention education program and leading training development for diverse audiences. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Manager of Program Operations and Manager of Prevention Education at the New York State Department of Health, where Alexis coordinated the Core State Violence and Injury Prevention Program and focused on sexual and intimate partner violence prevention. Additional experience encompasses health education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, research assistance at various institutions, and internships in health-related fields. Alexis holds a Master’s Degree in Social Behavior and Community Health from the University at Albany School of Public Health and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from SUNY Oneonta.
