American Foundation for Suicide Prevention
Monica Transier is an experienced professional with a strong commitment to community service and advocacy. Since January 2017, Monica has served as a Trained Survivor Outreach Volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, providing home outreach visits to individuals who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. Additionally, since October 2014, Monica has been a Volunteer Field Advocate for the American Foundation for the Prevention of Suicide in New Jersey, engaging with State Senators and Congressmen on federal public policy issues related to suicide prevention. With a career that began in November 1990, Monica has also worked as a Personal Coordinator, Domestic Services Provider, Time Management expert, and Event Planner. Monica holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, obtained between 1987 and 1992, and is a graduate of Edmond Memorial High School, class of 1986.
