Wendy Thompson

Wendy Thompson is an experienced professional in the health and wellness sector, currently serving as the Area Director for North Florida and the Panhandle at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention since April 2022. Previously, Wendy held multiple roles within the same organization, including Special Events Manager for Central and Southern Florida and Interim Area Director for Colorado. From September 2016 to June 2021, Wendy was the Area Director at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Earlier in her career, Wendy served as the Assistant Director at the Center for Health Literacy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from July 2013 to May 2016 and as Director of Operations at March of Dimes from August 2005 to July 2012. Wendy is a Certified Health Coach, having earned this designation from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute in 2014, and is a graduate of Madison High School in Mansfield, Ohio.
