Arnie Clawson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Arnie started their career in 1990 as an Assistant Engineer/TV Production at Ashland Broadcasting Corp, where they were responsible for maintaining and installing studio and remote production equipment, computer systems, and automation systems. Arnie also managed Novell LAN and handled computer hardware/software installations and upgrades.
From 1993 to 1999, Clawson worked as the General Manager/Chief Engineer at Family Educational Broadcasting, overseeing radio stations WRGX and WPFF. Arnie supervised personnel, ensured FCC compliance, managed projects, and handled engineering duties including FCC forms and applications, studio equipment installation and repairs, and maintenance of the transmission plant and remote translator sites.
In 1996, Clawson took on a contract engineer role at WSRG Radio, where they installed a new digital automation system, rebuilt the on-air studio, and provided routine maintenance and emergency support as needed. This position was concurrent with their work at Family Educational Broadcasting.
From 1999 to 2002, Clawson served as the Chief Engineer at Clear Channel Communications, where they were responsible for the technical aspects of a radio station cluster. Arnie managed IT infrastructure, provided PC support, and assisted the web department with technical and programming support.
In 2002, Clawson joined American Freight Furniture and Mattress as an Advertising Production specialist. Arnie designed and constructed an in-house video/audio editing suite, produced TV and radio commercials for the company's 70+ store chain, and provided support for company web properties.
During the same year, Clawson also became the Owner/President of HobbyForce, LLC. Under their leadership, HobbyForce achieved the distinction of being named National Hobby Store of the Year in 2008/2009 by the National Retail Hobby Stores Association. Clawson gave guidance and direction to the General Manager and directly managed marketing and advertising efforts.
Starting in 2004, Clawson worked as an Adjunct Professor in the Digital Media Technology Department at North Central State College. Arnie taught courses such as Multimedia Communications, Intermediate Animation, and Advanced Animation, which involved using software such as Sony Soundforge, Adobe Premiere Pro, Macromedia Flash, and Newtek's Lightwave 3D.
Lastly, from 2002 to 2003, Clawson served as a Contract Engineer at Lockwood Broadcast Group. Arnie assisted with the relocation of a television station into a new facility, installing and terminating wiring for video, audio, RF, and IT systems.
Arnie Clawson's education history begins in 1986 when they attended Pioneer Career and Technology Center, where they pursued a Certificate in Electronics. Arnie completed their studies at this institution in 1988. Following this, Arnie went on to Malone University in Canton, OH, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. Arnie enrolled at Malone University in 1988 and successfully completed their education there in 1992.
