Hector Cortez

Hector Cortez is currently the Deputy General Secretary at American Friends Service Committee, where Hector leads organization-wide security and crises management strategies for their offices worldwide. With a background in community engagement and diversity, Hector has also held positions at Big Brothers Big Sisters and Esperanza USA. Their leadership roles at International Ministries, ABC USA and National Ministries, ABC USA have provided him with extensive experience in providing religious and community-based services on a global scale. Hector holds a BA in Sociology/Anthropology from Judson College and a Masters in Church and Society from Garrett-Evangelical Seminary.
