Kenna O'Brien

Kenna O'Brien has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Kenna is currently working as a Design Director at American Girl since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Mattel, Inc. from 2021 to 2023 as a Senior Product Design Manager for Barbie. In this role, they led product design and strategy for multiple segments within Barbie and identified new strategic opportunities for the brand. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Project Design Lead at Mattel, Inc. Kenna also has experience as a Party & Event Planner at Miss Party Mom Event Planning from 2012 to 2015, where they managed various aspects of event planning and built a strong online presence. Kenna co-owned BFF Vintage Clothing from 2005 to 2008, and also worked as a Freelancer at Spin Master Ltd. in 2006. Kenna O'Brien began their career at Mattel, Inc. in 2000 as a Senior Designer for Barbie Mainline, where they specialized in ideation for doll and toy concepts.

Kenna O'Brien attended Brooks College from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Fashion/Apparel Design.
