VP Supply Chain at American Girl

Steve O'Brien has had a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Steve started their career as an Industrial Engr at Lawrence Brothers in 1983 and later moved on to RCA GE Thomson Consumer Electronics, where they held various roles including Process Engineer, Mfg Supt, Mfg Mgr, and Materials Mgr. In 1996, they joined Teledyne Specialty Equipment as a Plant Manager before transitioning to American Girl in 1999. At American Girl, they held two different positions, VP P&CS and VP Supply Chain, before joining Mattel, Inc. in 2014 as the VP North American Logistics & Planning.

Steve O'Brien completed their high school education at Peoria Bergan High School from 1976 to 1979. Steve then attended Creighton University from 1979 to 1981, though they did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. Following this, Steve pursued a BS degree in Engineering at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1981 to 1983. Finally, they earned an MBA degree from Ball State University - Miller College of Business from 1985 to 1987.
