Amanda Kelley

National Executive Lead - Patient Experience at American Heart Association

Amanda Kelley has a diverse work experience in the fields of healthcare and education. Amanda began their career in 2000 as a Tobacco Prevention Specialist at the American Cancer Society, where they educated community partners about tobacco prevention and implemented wellness programs. In 2004, they worked as a Nutrition Assistant at the Department of Public Health - WIC Program, delivering health and nutrition classes to parents and their children. From 2005 to 2007, they served as a Health and Physical Education Teacher at Seymour High School.

In 2008, Amanda joined the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, where they held various roles including Relationship Manager, National Recognition Manager, and ultimately the Healthy Schools Program Ambassador Manager. In this position, they coordinated activities and developed strategies to support the Healthy Schools Program and managed over 40 volunteers across the country. Amanda also created and implemented a national Ambassador program to promote school health.

Since 2014, Amanda has been working at the American Heart Association, starting as a Senior Community Health Director and later becoming the Vice President of Health Strategies. Currently, they hold the position of National Executive Lead - Patient Experience. Their responsibilities include driving community health planning processes, establishing benchmarks, and developing strategies to meet the AHA's community plan criteria.

Amanda Kelley holds a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Seattle Pacific University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Amanda also completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Health Promotion from Purdue University between 1997 and 2000. Additionally, Amanda has earned two Bachelor's degrees in Public Health Education and Promotion from Purdue University, although the specific years of completion are not provided.
