Angelica Hardee

Vice President, Health Strategies at American Heart Association

Angelica Hardee, Ph.D., MCHES®, has a strong background in health strategies and community health needs assessment. Angelica currently serves as the Vice President of Health Strategies at the American Heart Association and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Tulane University. In addition, they run their own consulting firm, Dr. Hardee Consulting, where they design, implements, and evaluates programming in various settings. Angelica has also held positions as a Senior Manager at The Health Collaborative, a Summer Faculty member at Phillips Exeter Academy, and an Administration Team Member at This Week in Global Health (TWiGH). Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, focusing on maternal and child health in sub-Saharan Africa. Angelica has also worked as a Community Health Educator at the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati and as a Volunteer Intern at Crossroad Health Center. Angelica Hardee has a wide range of experience in health promotion, education, research, and program evaluation.

Angelica Hardee, Ph.D., MCHES® has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of Cincinnati, which they obtained from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Community Health from the same university from 2013 to 2014. Angelica also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the University of Cincinnati, which they earned from 2009 to 2013. In addition to their academic degrees, Angelica Hardee has acquired several certifications, including the Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) certification from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc in 2014. Angelica has also obtained various certifications related to business fundamentals, management, problem-solving, and diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace from institutions such as McKinsey & Company, Cornell University, and the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.
