Gerry Cruz

Gerry Cruz is a Data Research Analyst at the American Heart Association, having held the position since March 2025. Prior to this role, Gerry worked as a Research Statistician at the United States Department of War for a brief period in 2025. Gerry gained extensive experience in academia as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Assistant at California State University, Long Beach from August 2022 to May 2025, along with serving as a Mathematics Tutor at Long Beach City College from February 2022 to November 2024. Gerry participated in the NSF Data Science Program at CSUN in June 2022, which focused on Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, and Python programming. Gerry holds a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from California State University, Long Beach, where studies were pursued from August 2022 to December 2024, and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from California State University, Northridge, earned between 2017 and 2021.
