Riya Subbaiah

Riya Subbaiah is a dedicated professional currently engaged with Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society, while serving as a Behavioral Health Researcher at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine since March 2022. In addition to these roles, Riya holds the position of Executive Team Lead and Development Coordinator at the American Heart Association, where efforts focus on outreach and advancing cardiovascular health. Riya actively contributes to the Georgetown University community as the Events and Stewardship Chair for the Georgetown Alumni Philanthropy Organization and as a Resident Advisor for East Campus. Previous experience includes teaching and program coordination at Brighter Generation, healthcare writing for Limber, and publishing internship at Red Penguin Books. Riya's academic background consists of a Bachelor's degree in Theology & Religious Studies, Pre-Medicine from Georgetown University.
