Darlene Vanderbush

Vice President, Executive Operations at American Hospital Association

Darlene Vanderbush has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Darlene started their career at the American Medical Association in 1995, where they served in a role titled AMPAC. Darlene then joined the American Hospital Association in 2000 as the Director of Advocacy and Member Communications. Darlene steadily advanced in their career, eventually becoming the Executive Director of Operations - Advocacy and Public Policy in 2006. Darlene further progressed to the position of Vice President-Operations, Advocacy and Public Policy in 2014, and later on to the role of Vice President, Executive Operations in 2015. In these positions, they were responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies, and programs for the association. Darlene also acted as a key point of contact for various hospital associations and facilitated coordination on important healthcare initiatives.

Darlene Vanderbush earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Florida in 1988. Darlene later pursued further education and completed a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University.
