Michelle Hood

Michelle Hood is the current EVP & COO at the American Hospital Association. Michelle has held this position since December of 1999. Prior to their work at the American Hospital Association, Ms. Hood served as the Chief Operating Officer at St. Vincent Healthcare from January 1993 to December 1999. Michelle also served as the President & CEO at EMHS from April 2006 to April 2020 and as the President & CEO of SCLHS's Montana Region from June 2001 to April 2006. Ms. Hood began their career in 1981 as an Associate Hospital Director at Emory University Hospital and held this position until December of 1993.

Michelle Hood completed a BS in Science at Purdue University and an MHA in Health Administration at Georgia State University.

They are on a team with Alicia Mitchell - SVP, Communications, Stacey Hughes - EVP, Government Relations & Public Policy, and Jeanette Porter - SVP, Field Engagement. Their manager is Richard J. Pollack, President & CEO.
