Nancy Foster has extensive experience in quality and patient safety policy within healthcare organizations. Nancy began their career in 1997 as the Director of Quality Improvement Activities at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. In 1999, they became a Member of the National Quality Forum, and in 2002, they assumed the role of Vice President for Quality and Patient Safety Policy at the American Hospital Association, where they currently work.

Nancy Foster earned their AB degree in Economics from Princeton University, where they attended from 1972 to 1976.
