Anees Fareed has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Anees started their career in 1997 as a General Practitioner at Modern Medical Center, where they worked until 2000. From 2001 to 2003, Anees worked as a Market Research Analyst at The Electronic Commerce Center. Anees then transitioned to Naif Medical Center as a General Practitioner in Homeopathy and worked there until 2006. Anees joined the Center for Healthcare Planning and Quality in Dubai Healthcare City in 2006 as an Assistant Manager in Healthcare Informatics and stayed until 2009. Anees then became a Healthcare Informatics Specialist at the Biostatistics and Health Research Center, Ministry of Health UAE, where they worked until 2010. Anees then joined InterSystems as a Clinical Advisor from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, they served as the Head of Section - Health Information Systems at Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital before joining Cerner Middle East as a Transformation Strategist from 2016 to 2020. Currently, Anees is working as a Lead Physician & Artificial Intelligence Informaticist at American Hospital Dubai.
Anees Fareed completed a Postgraduate Program in Data Science and Business Analytics from The University of Texas at Austin in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained an MBA in e-Commerce & Information Technology Management from the University of New Brunswick in 2001. Anees also holds a BHMS degree in Medicine/Homeopathy from the University of Calicut, which they completed between 1991 and 1996. In addition, Anees has acquired several certifications, including Professional Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode in 2022, and Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2021. Other certifications obtained by Anees include SAS Visual Analytics 2 for SAS Viya: Advanced from SAS in 2020, NLP Practitioner from NLP Tech for Mind Acceleration in 2013, PMP from the Project Management Institute in 2010, and CPHIMS from the Health Information and Management Systems Society in 2009.
