Omi Narayan has a diverse and extensive work experience background. Currently, Narayan holds the position of Director of Sleep Medicine at American Hospital Dubai, where they also serve as a Consultant Pediatric Pulmonologist and Sleep Physician. Narayan's expertise extends beyond the hospital setting, as they are also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Sharjah.
Narayan has been actively involved in the field of sleep medicine internationally, having served as an Executive Committee Member of the British Sleep Society. They have also made significant contributions to medical education, working as a Group Associate Director (Medical Education) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and as an Associate Hospital Dean & Hon. Senior Lecturer at The University of Manchester.

Omi Narayan completed their Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Grant Medical College & Sir JJ Group Of Hospitals, Mumbai, between 1997 and 2002. They later pursued their FRCPCH degree in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health from 2007 to 2011. Omi Narayan also obtained a Master's degree in Pediatric Pulmonology from King's College London from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they have a certification in Strategic Leadership Program from the American Hospital Dubai, obtained in 2023 from Harvard Business Publishing Corporate Learning.
