Stephanie Carmody

Stephanie Carmody has extensive legal and program management experience, currently serving as the Executive Vice President & Chief Legal and Program Officer at American Humane since September 2015. Prior roles at American Humane include Senior Vice President & General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, and General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. Previously, at the American Humane Association, Carmody held positions of Assistant General Counsel and Staff Counsel. As a solo practitioner in the Law Office of Stephanie Morris Carmody from September 2009 to November 2011 and as an Associate Attorney at Steptoe & Johnson LLP from November 2000 to June 2009, valuable legal expertise was developed. Carmody earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Mason University.
