Jack Soto, MSOD, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple organizations. jack began their career as a volunteer at the National Museum of the American Indian, Smithsonian Institution, in 2005. In 2006, they worked as a Staff Assistant at the National Indian Education Association. From 2007 to 2012, Jack served as the Director of Washington Internships for Native Students (WINS) at American University, where they developed and implemented a program focused on cultivating Native leadership and community development.
In 2008, Jack co-founded iVoteNative, an initiative aimed at improving Native American voter engagement. jack also worked as faculty/staff at Graduate Horizons during this time, assisting Native students with the graduate school application process through a 3-day workshop.
From 2011 to 2014, Jack operated their own consultancy, Soto Consulting, offering customized support, professional coaching, and facilitation services. In 2012, they briefly served as a Project Coordinator at the National Coalition for the Advancement of Natives in Higher Education.
In 2014, Jack became an Environmental Protection Office Technical Assistant at the Cocopah Indian Tribe. Since 2015, they have been working at the American Indian College Fund, first as a Program Manager for Career Readiness Pathways and now as a Senior Program Manager for Career Readiness & Employment. In their current role, Jack is responsible for developing and administering a program that increases student persistence and completion by providing career planning, exposure, and readiness training opportunities.
Throughout their career, Jack has focused on serving Native communities, promoting cultural relevance, and empowering individuals to pursue their goals and contribute to their communities.
Jack Soto, MSOD, has a strong educational background in the field of Organizational Development. jack obtained their M.S. in Organizational Development from American University, attending from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the same university, completing their studies from 2004 to 2006. Before attending American University, Soto pursued their studies in Political Science at North Carolina State University from 2002 to 2004.
