Carmela Brittingham

Carmela Brittingham is a seasoned event management professional with over 18 years of experience in the field, currently serving as Vice President of Event Operations at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) since June 2011. In this role, Carmela develops and implements event growth strategies while leading cross-functional teams to enhance the existing event product line. Prior positions at AIAA include Director of Event Product Management, Project Manager, and Team Lead for various significant events such as the SciTech convention, which accommodates over 5,000 attendees. Previous experience includes managing events at NOVA Parks and handling logistics and negotiations at the National Recreation and Park Association. Carmela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Facilities Management from George Mason University.
